Level 1: Elementary
Objective:
- To master the basic rules of chess;
- Familiarization with notation and the name of pieces;
- Fundamentals of beginning game theory.
Teaching Units:
- Fundamentals of chess: Rules of the game, moves of the pieces, value of the pieces, basic elements of the board;
- Notation: Learning algebraic notation and recording games;
- Opening Plans: Familiarization with the basic openings and their objectives.
Level 2: Intermediate
Objective:
- To deepen understanding of game plans;
- Developing strategic thinking;
- Tactical combinations.
Units of Study:
- Middle Game: Game plans in the middle phase of a game;
- Tactics and Combinations: Recognizing chess tactics and basic combinations;
- Developing positional play: Principles of positional play, plans for developing piece position.
Level 3: Advanced
Objective:
- Preparation for competitive play;
- Deepening of strategic and tactical skills;
- Analysis of finished games and independent decision making.
Units of Study:
- Endgame: Fundamentals of endgame, working with advantage material;
- Competitive practice: Playing in tournaments, practice with time limits;
- Analysis of games: Independent analysis of own and classical games.
Teaching methods:
- Theory: Lectures, reading chess literature;
- Practice: Regular training, games between students;
- Analyzing games: Analyzing finished games, identifying mistakes and correct moves.
Evaluation of progress:
- Weekly/monthly tests or control games;
- Analyzing results and adjusting the training program.
