8th North American Invitational Correspondence Chess Championship

* IM Jon Edwards wins the 8th NAICCC with a score of 11½/14 points! Second place goes to IM Paul Thompson scoring 10½/14 and third place went to SIM Kevin Embrey scoring 10/14. Congratulations! This is the strongest North American tournament, pitting some of the strongest North American CC players against each other. The top 3 finishers (on Sonnenborn-Berger tie-break, if necessary) qualify for the World CC Championship Three-Quarter finals. Because players from only two countries are involved, it is category II (IM title norm = 10½ points). With an average rating of 2359, it would otherwise be in category V.
